Labwerk-01 the album, is a collection of musical ideas and themes influenced by all manner of things as will be outlined below in the individual track back-stories.

Land of the Brave - This piece was written for American Thanksgiving 2009 as an entry into a competition for themed music.

The intent is to convey a feeling of hope for a brighter future by getting out there and 'leading from the front'.

Showing a 'Be it - Do it!' attitude.

What You Gonna do With That Now? - Well yes ... !

Mucking about with the keys one day, checking out my new Logic Express software, and this sort of fell out.

Also checking out the capabilities of the laptop's in-built mike.

FlatPak - Well this actually started out as a backing track for a song called Flatliner that I wrote. Then I couldn't find anyone to sing it. Plenty were going to, then never fronted.

Couldn't waste a great rhythm set, so this is what became of it.

Spies in the Night - OK, so who doesn't ike a good spy?

James Bond 007, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Avengers, Danger Man!

Some retro synth hype with a nod to Propellerheads "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".

The Beacon- From a far galaxy a signal is detected.

Written around New Year 2010. Everyone is talking about the dawning of a new epoch of tolerance and understanding.

Maybe ... there is always hope. Show us the way!
